Cats for Kids Fundraiser

Cats for Kids Fundraiser

Noor is hard at work sewing kitty cats to raise money for the Community Youth and Women's Alliance Gateway Shelter for homeless women and their children. She will use 100% of her profits to buy Toys R. Us gift cards for the kids living at the shelter.  This is the second time Noor's raised money for CYWA, and you can read more about her last successful effort here.

Made entirely from House of Reboot scraps, the kitties are crafted from 100% cotton denim that was grown, dyed and woven in the US by Cone Mills. Eyes are corozo buttons turned in Brooklyn and the collar bead is from Noor's great-grandmother's vintage collection. There is a hanging tab on the top so you can hang your kitty from a shelf or use it as a Christmas tree ornament. Kitties are approximately 6.5" tall, including their pointy ears.

Noor would like everyone to know that the hand-sewn seam at the bottom is neatly turned under before sewing.

The kitties are $15 including US shipping. You can use the Paypal donation button, or email us to make other arraignments.
Thank you for your contributions!

love, Noor

  1. Hi Brie!
Your blog was recommended for the Unschooling Blog Carnival. I'd like to include this post, if Noor is still working on your Cats for Kids Fundraiser. I didn't see the date, so I didn't know if it's over. If so, I'll find another, but I thought we might be able to give it a little more attention, if you'd like.

Let me know as soon as you can. Thanks!
    Sue
